James Paisley began his construction career working alongside his father, a plumber, in Ireland. He later pursued formal studies in construction engineering and management, gaining experience on high-rise developments and historic restoration projects, including making a 16th-century castle ADA compliant.
James moved to the United States and began working in the construction industry, initially focusing on pre-cast concrete.
James earned his Florida General Contractor license and launched his own construction firm, focusing on spec homes and high-end residential properties, including both waterfront and inland homes on Palm Beach Island.
James continued expanding his portfolio of luxury residential projects, earning a reputation for craftsmanship and attention to detail. During this time, he began exploring development, starting with multi-family properties.
Following a downturn in the residential market, James shifted his focus toward commercial development, including the construction and leasing of a medical office building. This project marked a definitive pivot in his specialization to medical facilities.
Prestige expanded its capabilities in healthcare construction, offering ground-up builds, major renovations, and tenant improvements for surgery centers, imaging facilities, and office suites.
The firm also began offering design-build services, managing projects from site selection through final delivery.
Prestige builds a network of clients and vendors across southern Florida, with its main footprint stretching from Fort Lauderdale to Port St. Lucie. The company continues to offer flexible delivery models while maintaining a lean structure and hands-on leadership.
